Boner, 69 years and 11 months, formerly of Valentine, NE, passed away at Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings, NE, on October 10, 2016 after fighting a brave 6-year battle with Parkinson's disease. Jim was born November 12, 1946 to Ezra and Minnie (Cafferty) Boner in Lake City, IA.

He graduated from Lohrville High School in 1965. He continued his education to receive a Junior Accounting Degree from Commercial Extension of Omaha. Jim married to Patricia L. Keeley of Valentine, NE, in 1967. From this marriage two children, Eugene and Maureen, were born.

They later divorced. Jim is survived by his mother, Minnie; son Gene (Carlene Springer) and grandchildren, Jeremy, Brittany and Matthew; daughter Maureen (Jeff) Dreith and granddaughter Sierra; siblings, Martha (Mick) Parker of Lake City, Mary Elsasser of Omaha, Kevin of Lake City, Ruth (Vance) Overton of Indianola, IA, Jean (Steve) Swenson of Osage, IA; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Lipsey died October 7, 2016 in Tucson, AZ. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; sons, Bob and Joe (Heather), and daughter, VETERAN Sally Scott, all of Tucson; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Born in Omaha, NE in 1921, he was a graduate of Omaha Central High School and the University of Nebraska. He enlisted in the Air Force 2 weeks after Pearl Harbor and served for 5 years stateside and in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He was recalled to active duty for years during the Korean Conflict.

He and his dear wife, Shirley, were married in Omaha in 1947. He was founder and president of J. Lipsey and Associates, an Omaha-based advertising and public relations firm, and was its chairman and president until his retirement in.1977. Over the course of his long life, he served his profession and community in many ways. He was a founder of Boys Clubs of Omaha and was president of its Board of Governors in 1969.

He was a member of the Omaha Advertising Club, Omaha Press Club, Omaha Rotary Club, YMCA Committee of Management and the UCS Funding Committee. He was a board member of the Meyer Therapy Center, Planned Parenthood of Nebraska, Beth El Synagogue, and Omaha Sales and Marketing Executives, and was organtzer and chairman of Boy Scout Troop 17. He and his wife moved to Tucson in 1975. He was a member and president of the Saguaro Horsem*n's Association. He was a member of the Arizona Jewish Post Advisory Board, and served as its chairman for five years.

He was a board member of the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona and a member of the Tucson jewish Community Relations Council executive committee, and the Jewish Community Foundation of Southern Arizona investment committee. He was a member of Temple Emanu-El, Congregation Or Chadash. He served on the City of Tucson Human Relations Commission, the University of Arizona Humanities Seminars Advisory Board, the College of Humanities Advisory Board, and was a board member of Tucson Centers for Women and Children and its successor, Emerge! Quinn, a longtime resident of lowa City, IA, passed away peacefully at his home in Omaha surrounded by his loving VETERAN family on October 6, 2016. He was preceded in death by sister, Mary Quinn, and son-in-law, Keith Brown, loving husband of Lisa. He was born on April 25, 1932 in Fort Dodge, IA to John and Blanche Quinn.

After graduating from Fort Dodge High in 1951, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served on the USS Wasp during the Korean War. Following his service, he attended Fort Dodge Junior College and The Chicago Art Institute where he received his fine arts degree. He was an amazing artist and salesman and employed these talents as an entrepreneur throughout his life, notably as the official souvenir vendor of the lowa State Fair and promoter of the Iowa Hawkeyes "Tiger Hawk" logo. He was an active member of St. Thomas More Church for over 40 years.

His Irish wit and love of life could be felt by all who knew him. He would say his greatest legacy was his loving family. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Elizabeth, his children: Susan Quinn, Julie Maass and husband, Paul, Lisa Quinn and friend, Mike Filosa, Michael Quinn and wife, Tamera, Stephen Quinn and wife, Pamela; and 11 loving grandchildren: Jaime, John, Quinn, Luke, Paige, Caroline, Julia, Emily, Megan, Erin and Jacob. "Marie" was born Mary Dolan on September 15, 1919 in the borough of Manhattan, New York City, New York where she spent the first two years of life with the Sisters of Mercy at the New York Foundling Home. She rode the Orphan Train from New York to Grand Island, Nebraska where she was received by the John, Katherine and Rose Reith family. In 1925, she was officially adopted and loved by Ms. Rose Reith of Hebron, Nebraska. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Grade School before graduating from Hebron High School in Hebron, Nebraska in 1937.

Marie married the late Victor Schroeder in 1940 and was married for over 59 years until his death in 1999. The couple initially settled in Hebron and was blessed with three children. A devout Catholic all her life, Marie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, cancer survivor and much, much more. She was extremely proud of her family and never missed an opportunity to introduce them. Marie is survived by her children: Janet Faust (Michael) of LaVista, NE, John Schroeder (Carolyn) of Maryville, MO, and Barbara Schroeder of McClelland, IA; seven grandchildren; ten great three great-greatgrandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 14th from 5pm to 7pm at the Bel Air Chapel. After graduating from UNL, he started his career with the United Stockyards Corporation, serving as President of the Milwaukee, Sioux Falls and Omaha markets over the years. He also served with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture as the Marketing Division Administrator until his retirement in 1995. Jim was a long-time member of Dundee Presbyterian Church. Jim died on Sunday, Oct. 9th after a brief illness.

Left behind are his wife of 63 years, Arlene Muhe Smith; daughters, Alysia Ryan (Mitch) and Deanne Smith (Viranjit); grandchildren, Ashlyn Ryan and Arjan Madan; brother, Burke Walter (Donna).
