WSOC Adds Eight Signees for the 2024 Season - California State University, Fullerton (2024)

FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton women's soccer head coach Demian Brown announced that seven student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to join the program for the upcoming 2023-24 academic year and one additional player has transferred into the program.

Allison Craycroft
Goalkeeper | Mission Viejo, Calif. | Capistrano Valley High School

Allison Craycroft is set to graduate from Capistrano Valley High School in the spring of 2024 as a four-year letter winner with the women's soccer team. She was the captain of her team her varsity year. She is a two time South Coast All-League 1st Team member and was the Team MVP her junior year. She led her team to three conference titles. She played club soccer for Slammers FC in the ECRL under head coach Monique Segovia.

She was born in Irvine, Calif. to Eric and Ann and has one sibling, Nathan. She plans on pursuing a degree in Nutrition at Cal State Fullerton.

"Allison is an athletic and explosive gk. She can make big saves and is extremely comfortable with the ball at her feet in possession," said head coach Demian Brown

Isabella Contreras
Defender | Eastvale, Calif. | Ayala High School

Bella Contreras is set to graduate from Ayala High School in the spring of 2024 as a three-year letter winner with the women's soccer team. She was named to the All-Conference First team her freshman and sophom*ore season and was named the Team MVP her sophom*ore year. She also lettered in cross country and track and field. She played club soccer for Legends FC in the ECNL under head coach Neil Powell.

She was born in San Dimas, Calif. to Ruben and Esmeralda and has two siblings, Cristian and Sebastian. She plans on pursuing a degree in Speech Pathology at Cal State Fullerton.

"I chose to attend Cal State Fullerton because I fell in love with the coaching staff and the school's welcoming environment and campus," said Isabella Contreras.

"Isabella is a solid defensive outside back with the speed, stamina and technical ability to add to our teams attack," said head coach Demian Brown

Ava Mirelez
Defender | Clovis, Calif. | Clovis North High School

Ava Mirelez is set to graduate from Clovis North High School in the spring of 2024 as a three-year letter winner with the women's soccer team. She was team captain her junior and senior year and was named the defender of the year her sophom*ore year. She was named first team all conference her senior year. Her team were conference champions her junior and senior year and valley champions her junior season. She played club soccer for Clovis Crossfire in the Girls Academy league under head coach Hamid Sedhei.

She was born in Clovis, Calif. to Art and Helena and has three siblings, Mia, Ella, and Sophia. Her older sister Mia Mirelez, is a sophom*ore on the team. She plans on pursuing a degree in Kinesiology at Cal State Fullerton.

"I chose to attend Cal State Fullerton because the school has an amazing school environment with a constant support system for the athletes and students. I know that Cal State Fullerton will help me prepare for life to come and help me succeed. The women's soccer team has an incredible team culture and bond that I have been looking for and admire. I know that I will be pushed to become a better player and I will learn a lot from the team" said Ava Mirelez.

"Ava is a solid hard as nail center back. Her ability and desire to win balls is so impressive. Her smarts and ability to read the game sets her apart," said head coach Demian Brown

Lauren Turner
Defender | Tustin, Calif. | Beckman High School

Lauren Turner is set to graduate from Arnold O. Beckman High School in the spring of 2024 as a four-year letter winner with the women's soccer team. She was named to the All-Conference second team her sophom*ore and junior year, the team MVP her junior year, and was the team captain her junior and senior year. She was also a scholar athlete all four years. She played club soccer for Slammers HB Køge in the ECNL under head coaches Cheyne Gordon and Monique Segovia.

She was born in Orange, Calif. to Christopher and Christine and has two siblings, Victoria and Nicolette. She plans on pursuing a degree in Kinesiology at Cal State Fullerton.

"I chose to attend Cal State Fullerton because of the coaching staff, the campus location, and the team atmosphere," said Lauren Turner

"Lauren is an absolute soccer player. She has the composure and soccer IQ to run the game from the center mid position and the competitiveness and grit to play as a center back," said head coach Demian Brown

Sasha Amezcua
Midfielder/Forward | Highland, Calif. | Citrus Valley High School

Sasha Amezcua is set to graduate from Citrus Valley High School in the spring of 2024 where she played varsity soccer and track and field. Her team were undefeated conference champions for four years straight. She played club soccer for Sporting California in the ECNL under head coach David Baillie.

She was born in West Covina, Calif. to Miguel and Tabitha and has two older siblings, Nadia and Bella. Her older sister Nadia played for the Titans from 2019 to 2022. She plans on pursuing a degree in Business at Cal State Fullerton.

"I chose to attend Cal State Fullerton because of the competitive environment of the team," said Sasha Amezcua.

"Sasha is a talented dribbler and distributor. She will add needed depth to our attacking midfielder position," said head coach Demian Brown

Shannon Nettekoven
Midfielder | Aliso Viejo, Calif. | Mater Dei High School

Shannon Nettekoven is set to graduate from Mater Dei High School in the spring of 2024 as a two-year letter winner with the women's soccer team. She received All-Trinity League honors her junior and senior year. She was named the Trinity League Co-Defensive MVP her senior year. Her team were conference champions her senior year. She played club soccer for the So Cal Blues in the ECNL under head coach Brandy Holley.

She was born in Laguna Hills, Calif. to Jay and Colleen and has two siblings, Colin and Aidan.

"I chose to attend Cal State Fullerton because I loved the coaching staff and the program itself. Both of my parents attended Cal State Fullerton and my dad played for the men's soccer team. I wanted to stay in California for college and it seemed like a good fit for myself and my family," said Shannon Nettekoven

"Shannon will bring an element of dominance in the air. She is an excellent ball winner and has a calmness to her play with beginning our possession," said head coach Demian Brown

Ashlyn Gwynn
Forward | Farr West, Utah. | Fremont High School

Ashlynn Gwynn graduated from Fremont High School in 2024 as a four-year letter winner with the women's soccer team. Gwynn enrolled at Cal State Fullerton in the spring 2024 semester. She was named the team's offensive MVP her junior year, the MVP of her team her senior year, and team captain her senior year. She was an all-area honorable mention her freshman and sophom*ore year. She played club soccer for La Roca FC in the ECNL under head coach Adolfo Ovalle.

She was born in Ogden, Utah. to Matthew and Shelly and has three siblings,Taylor, Lexy, and Jaydn. She plans on pursuing a degree in Kinesiology at Cal State Fullerton.

"I chose to attend Cal State Fullerton because of the coaching staff, style of play, and I loved the campus. I loved the family element of the campus, the coaches, and the team. Fullerton is close enough to home that my family can still come out to watch my games," said Ashlynn Gwynn.

"Speed, Speed, and Speed! Ashlyn will provide a very dangerous element of speed and finishing ability in our attack. Her ability to escape and get behind back lines is amazing," said head coach Demian Brown

Talei Moodie
Midfielder/Forward | Oakland, Calif. | University of San Diego

She played in 27 games for the Toreros over two seasons, making eight starts. She graduated from Saint Mary's High School in 2021 where she led her league in goals scored her senior year and earned all-league honors during each of her high school seasons.

She was born in Walnut Creek, Calif. to Damond and Jennifer. She plans on pursuing a degree in Political Science.

"We are extremely excited to have added Talei to our program. She has proven to be an amazing addition to the team. Her attacking mentality and quality left foot will will definitely enhance our attack this fall "," said head coach Demian Brown
