If you're offered a seat on a rocket ship... don’t ask what seat, just get on.Seeing people miss out on awesome opportunities because they are unhappy w/ title.

Titles are funny to me…there is a great interview with Elon Musk where he’s speaking the the WSJ CEO Summit and basically tells the crowd that all their executive titles are just made up.He essentially goes on to say when you register a business you can choose anything you want so he re-registered as Technoking of Tesla. His point is who cares what they call you, what is it you do that makes you valuable?

I don't think I would be getting on any rocket ship blindly because I have been offered a seat. You never know what kind of mission that ship is on. Not signing up for a suicide mission without knowing if I would be martyring for some good cause or not.

Even more ironic considering people make up their own titles on linkedin all the time anyway, or their titles don't even accurately represent the role they're in. Silly thing to get hung up on when no one else cares about it at the end of the day.

I need to know where these rocket ships are going because a lot of rocket ships lead to nowhere.

Contender vs competitor...the contender worries about outside factors (i.e. title) vs the competitor who has that internal engine that will make them successful regardless of the outside factors. The difference between the successful and the impersonators.

I started my freight forwarding career as an Ops Agent I. It's been a fun a ride ever since because I understand business and deploy a strong work ethic. Title means nothing if you are a good leader and dedicated worker. Although, in sales, sometimes a better title can get you the attention of whale accounts 😁

Today is a great day for 2nd chances. If you need one, give it to yourself. If you know someone who needs one, be the giver of the 2nd chance. It is always good to be the giver of 2nd chances because one day, we all are going to need one.If you tried before to get the promotion with no luck, it is time for a 2nd chance. If you were ghosted, who knows why, so give the 2nd chance. We all want 2nd chances, so let's give some out first.

Hey folks! 🌟 I'm here with a story that will take you back to the time when I was just a bright-eyed 15-year-old, ready to conquer the world by applying for my first real job at the awe-inspiring Skylon Tower in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Talk about nerve-wracking! 😅💼Picture this: I walked three long miles to reach the tower, my heart pounding as if it had a mind of its own. You know that feeling, right? When excitement and anxiety blend into one thrilling co*cktail? Well, that was me that day, walking towards the unknown, filled with hope and a dash of fear. 🏰✨When I arrived at Skylon Tower, I couldn't help but be amazed by the sheer number of ambitious youngsters just like me, all dreaming of making their mark. It felt like a mega concert, minus the music. 🎶🎉 Can you imagine the energy in the air? It was electrifying! Then came the moment of truth - the interview. As I entered that tiny room, butterflies took flight in my stomach, and I braced myself for a whirlwind of questions that felt like a roller coaster ride! But guess what? I nailed it! 🚀🎯 Despite the panic, I was offered the job, and my journey into the working world began. Those first few weeks were a mix of excitement and confusion. I mean, let's face it, I had no clue what I was doing! But you know what they say - the best way to learn is by diving headfirst into the deep end. With the patient guidance of the amazing Skylon Tower team, I quickly found my footing and gained the confidence to work independently. 💪📚This experience taught me something powerful: the importance of embracing the unknown and growing through it. Life is all about taking risks, even when we're scared out of our wits. So, if you're a fresh-faced rookie stepping into the working world, remember this story. You have incredible potential within you, capable of soaring to great heights! All it takes is that first step, that first application, and the willingness to learn and grow. 🙌💼Stay tuned for more inspiring anecdotes and valuable insights from my journey. Let's rise together and conquer every challenge that awaits us! 🌟💼

In any difficult situation, new opportunity, or ongoing endeavor, we need:(1) A clear CONCEPTION of what we want, a goal vividly imagined.(2) A strong CONFIDENCE that we can attain the goal.(3) A focused CONCENTRATION on what it takes to reach that goal.(4) A stubborn CONSISTENCY in pursuing our vision.(5) An emotional COMMITMENT to the value of what we're doing.(6) A good CHARACTER to guide us and keep us on course.(7) A CAPACITY TO ENJOY the process along the way.(Tom Morris)

A couple of “mid-career” joys for me:➡ Being surrounded by early career talent who you already recognize will surpass you in every way imaginable.➡ The humility that you can be broken, but the confidence that you won’t be.
