2.1 2023 BMW X4 News

These new things will certainly bring a lot of improvements, but the overall design will remain largely the same. Therefore, you can count on familiar design characteristics. This model offers a lot of dynamics. We love the handling as well as the engine. Regardless, the cabin looks great, while the driving position is excellent. On the other hand, the biggest drawback comes from the sloping roof design, which sacrifices luggage space and rear seat space. We expect the 2023 BMW X4 to hit the market in the fall.

2023 BMW X4 Design

As mentioned earlier, the focus of this update is on style. We’ll see a lot of new stuff on both ends of the car. The front, of course, will come with more novelties. The most notable change is the new grille, which will be larger, though not as massive as the M3 and M4 models. Moreover, the headlights will receive a new look, while the bumper will look more aggressive.

Changes will also occur in depth. From what we can see, there’s a new pair of taillights that look more aggressive than before. Of course, there is also a new rear bumper, which follows the design changes from the front. Finally, we rely on typical mid-cycle updates, such as new color options, new wheel designs, etc.

2023 BMW X4 Interior

Internal changes are also coming. From what we can see, the dashboard will receive many reviews. First of all, the middle group will get a new design, with a rearrangement of the physical controls. The climate control unit is now above the audio system. Of course there is the new infotainment screen that stands out even more.

Although we can see some new materials, the overall interior quality remains the same. It’s good to know, given that the current model actually looks good on the inside. The materials are very good, as is the build quality.

The front seats are very large and supportive, while the driving position is excellent. Due to the sloping roof design, the second row is very inconvenient. There’s plenty of legroom, but headroom is a bit weak, so taller passengers may have trouble sitting comfortably. When it comes to cargo area, you can count on about 18.5 cubic feet behind the second row and 50.5 cubic feet of total cargo volume.

2023 BMW X4 Engine

The big novelties come under the hood, especially when it comes to the M40i. This version will continue with the popular 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine but with the addition of a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. Interestingly enough, the output will remain the same. So you can count on about 382 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. That’s enough to move this crossover from zero to sixty in just 4.4 seconds.

On the other hand, the basic model will continue in the same way. This means you can count on the good old 2.0-liter turbo, which makes about 248 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. With this said, you’ll need six seconds to hit 60 mph. In terms of fuel economy, this engine delivers about 23 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. The inline six, on the other hand, should improve the numbers compared to the current 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.

The 2023 BMW X4 will continue in the same way. You can count on the same layout, which brings improvements in various aspects, compared to the standard model. First of all, there are more powerful engines. Despite using the same inline six module, this feature has much more power. Maximum output is 473 hp, while the M Competition version produces 503 hp. The latter can reach 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.

Apart from the engine upgrades, this version comes with all kinds of other upgrades. Of course, there’s the full M package, which includes an improved suspension, brakes, and many other components. Of course, there are also plenty of stylistic details that highlight the high-performance character.

2023 BMW X4 Release Date And Price

We expect the 2023 BMW X4 to hit the market this fall. The base price should be around $52,000. The main competitors should be models such as Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe, Jaguar F-Pace, Porsche Macan, etc.

2023 BMW X4 Update

In the world of compact luxury crossovers, the X4 stands out for performance and style, and we expect the shaft to be even higher with the BMW X4 2023. Next year’s model will receive a mid-cycle refresh as we count on a lot of new things. Of course, most of the changes will take place abroad in a new style. However, there’s also a new center console inside, while the longer M model now comes with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system.

Despite the changes, the overall layout will remain the same. In other words, you can count on familiar characteristics. This crossover has many advantages, ranging from sharp handling and a good selection of engines. Other than that, we like the conservative cabin design, as well as the fairly long list of standard features. On the other hand, the biggest grip goes to the loading area and headroom in the back seat

BMW X4 2023 With A New Design

As we just mentioned, the 2023 BMW X4 will receive a mid-cycle refresh. For this occasion, we will see new things in different aspects and the biggest one is the new style. The test model is still sporty camouflage but we can clearly see that the new front end will include changes in areas such as the grille, headlights, bumper, etc. The rear will have a new bumper, along with updated taillights. Naturally, we also expect to see typical mid-cycle updates, such as new color options, wheels, etc.

The mechanical aspects of the BMW X4 2023 should not change. You can count on the same chassis and suspension design, which guarantees a great ride quality. This crossover is easy to drive and the most demanding drivers will certainly like the fact that there is almost no body roll, even if we are talking about an SUV.

Outback

The interior of the BMW X4 2023 will also come with some new things. The biggest change will be the new center console. It includes a new button configuration and looks more luxurious. On top of that, the controls feel more driver-focused. The rest of the cabin has stayed the same, although we can always see things like a new color scheme, some new materials, etc.

On the other hand, the overall design of the cabin will not change. This means you can count on the same amount of space, which isn’t as impressive as on the X3 case. Due to the sloping roof, this model feels a bit short in terms of headroom in the rear seat. On the other hand, the front seats are spacious and comfortable.Cargo space is approximately 23.7 cubic feet behind the second row and a total of 50.5 cubic feet. That’s a lot less compared to the singles sibling, but it’s still worth the separation.

Feature

Without a doubt, this update will also bring new things regarding standard features. We already know that most versions now will come as standard with a large 12.3-inch infotainment screen. The list of standard equipment also includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, HD radio, navigation and an 11-speaker audio system. The list of standard equipment also includes a panoramic sunroof, push-button start and three-zone automatic climate control, while a keyless proximity feature can also be added.

The 2022 model comes with important updates regarding security features, so we don’t expect to see many changes in this aspect. Current models come standard with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic warning, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and a rearview camera. Plus, you get goodies like a surround-view parking camera system, parallel park assist, and adaptive cruise control with traffic jam-assisted stop-and-go.

BMW X4 2023 Engine

Things under the hood won’t change much. The base model will continue with the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, which produces 248 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Of course, there’s the famous 3.0-liter six, which comes in several output variants. The first is reserved for the M40i, which produces about 382 horsepower.

A more powerful version of the legendary six-cylinder is reserved for the M model and from what we know so far, you’ll get a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. That won’t change the numbers, but it should improve throttle response and overall performance. Therefore, the maximum output will rise to 473 hp, while the competition version will do well at around 503 hp.All engines will be paired with a premium 8-speed automatic transmission.

Release Date And Price For The BMW X4 2023

The 2023 BMW X4 will hit the market in the next few months and the base version will cost around $52,500. The main competitors are models such as Mercedes-GLC Coupe, Audi Q5, Alfa Romeo Stelvio, etc.

2023 BMW X4 News

BMW has announced that the 2023 X4 has been updated alongside its twin, the X3, which shares much of its DNA. Although the two models are similar in terms of base, performance and technology features, the X4 is the sportier sister thanks to its coupe-like exterior that is lower and wider than the X3. For 2023, the BMW X4 gets new design, technology upgrades and a mild hybrid system for the M40i and performance-focused M models.

The BMW X4 2023 undergoes design changes front and rear, including a new grille design, an updated bumper, headlights and taillights. The X4 features BMW’s signature aluminum grille kidney grille that has grown larger with the update. While expanding the grille, the X4’s LED headlights have shrunk 0.4 inches thinner, and a redesigned front bumper with vertical air intakes completes the facelift.

The rear of the BMW X4 has been updated with redesigned full LED taillights with integrated horizontal turn signal bars, vertical air intakes arranged in a triangular design, and a new sporty exhaust rim.

The BMW X4 M40i has some unique exterior elements to underline its performance. The front bumper has a large hatch to help cool the engine, transmission, and brake system. Aerodynamic features include front fender vents and exclusive M-view mirrors that reduce drag. The BMW X4 M40i also received a new rear bumper with anvil inserts and a gloss black rear spoiler.

For 2023, BMW is updating the X4 with a stand-alone center console screen borrowed from its fellow 4 Series. Standard on the X4 is BMW’s Live co*ckpit Professional which features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen display of the same size. Infotainment has been updated with the latest BMW iDrive 7 multimedia system with improved navigation, media content, a status display for the driver assistance system and a 3D display.

The updated Professional Driving Assistant Package enhances the X4’s suite of driver assistance technologies including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and Active Lane Keeping Assist. The lane maintenance system can now recognize a required lane change as part of the navigation instructions and will indicate a lane change is needed. The driver can then make lane changes with the help of lane assist. The BMW Parking Assistance Package also adds a backup assist feature for navigating tight spaces.

The 382-hp BMW X4 M40i gets a 48-volt mild-hybrid system for 2023, which helps restore brake power. When the throttle is released, the alternator converts the kinetic energy into electricity which is stored in the battery. The energy from the 48-volt battery is then used to supply the car’s electric-powered functions and generate additional thrust. The 48V starter alternator supports the combustion engine for improved efficiency and produces up to 11 HP for better acceleration.

The mild-hybrid system also helps improve the comfort of the M40i’s stop-and-go system, according to BMW, thanks to vibration reduction. This system allows the combustion engine to be shut down when the vehicle speed drops below 9 mph, and the slip function allows the engine to shut down completely between 15-99 mph.

The BMW X4 M and X4 M are performance SUV models. With a 3.0-liter turbocharged engine, the current 2022 BMW X4 M generates 473 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque, while the M Competition boosts horsepower to 503 and also delivers 442 lb-ft of torque. The newly tuned engine for 2023 increases torque output to 457 lb-ft in the X4 M and 479 lb-ft in the X4 M Competition.

The increase in torque production reduces the 0-60 mph acceleration time for the X4 from 4.1 seconds to 3.9 seconds and from 4.0 seconds to 3.7 seconds for the Competition M. The top speed for this model is 155 mph, which increases to 177 MPH when the optional M Driver package is added.
